At the heart of the Ruyuan Sales Centre lies a breathtaking art installation that serves as the backdrop for the reception area. This customized piece resembles a painting, depicting the transformation of the city. Composed of 70,000 fragments made of steel with a fluorocarbon coating, the installation meticulously portrays the original appearance of traditional architecture in Xi'an. It is a testament to the designer's attention to detail and commitment to creating a unique experience.
One of the standout features of the Ruyuan Sales Centre is its circular entryway, inspired by Chinese classical gardens. Unlike the typical boxy entrances found in modern architecture, this circular design adds a touch of elegance and charm. The designers aimed to create a space that resonates with visitors on an emotional level, and the circular entryway achieves just that.
The interior furnishings of the Ruyuan Sales Centre reflect the local culture and add a poetic atmosphere to the space. Large bookcases not only serve as partitions but also contribute to the overall ambiance. The materials used, such as light-colored wooden veneer, gray stone, and exquisite upholstery, create a cozy and stress-free environment that encourages communication and negotiation.
Despite the challenges posed by the fast-paced real estate industry in China, the design team successfully completed the Ruyuan Sales Centre within a significantly shorter timeframe. They had to balance time, cost, and construction feasibility while ensuring the design scheme evoked a sense of nostalgia and charm. Their ability to overcome these obstacles is a testament to their creativity and expertise.
The Ruyuan Sales Centre project began in March 2018 and was completed in October of the same year. It is a testament to the designer's commitment to creating a space that not only showcases the local culture but also appeals to the new middle class in Xi'an.
The Ruyuan Sales Centre has been recognized for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, and technical skill, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
